Glenfiddich 15 YO Limited Edition Lunar New Year Pack Single Malt Scotch Whisky

RM410.00

One of the best single malts in the world is the Scotch whisky Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old. It is 70 cl in size and contains 40% alcohol by volume (ABV).

This whiskey is a single-malt scotch that is 15 years old and has a golden colour. It is created by the Glenfiddich distillery, one of the few distilleries in Scotland still capable of upholding its creative tradition.

Since it brings out the courage that is hidden inside, it is the perfect beverage for the timid. Your spirit will be elevated to a state of comfort, peace, and joy each time you take it.

The Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old is the only single malt that matures in three different types of casks before being blended in a solera vat: ex-sherry, ex-bourbon, and new oak.

Since it is made using a process developed by the Malt Master, the Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old expression is a perfect example of the brand’s family tradition of innovation. Through the alchemy of the Solera Vat, its warm, smoky flavours are transformed and aged in new oak casks and European oak sherry casks.

The distinctive Solera Vat, a sizable oak tun inspired by sherry bodegas in Spain and Portugal and used to this day, was created by David Stewart, the fifth Malt Master, to age whisky. As a result, the Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old that is currently being bottled contains a tiny amount of each batch created since the tun was first filled in 1998. It’s a great way to guarantee consistency.

The culmination of Glenfiddich’s inquisitive minds and pioneering spirit is their Solera Vat, which has never been emptied and has been kept half full of whiskies since 1998. This is also how the whisky made it into the top 10 best-selling single malts and became the first 15-year-old expression to do so.

This best single malt has a seductively delicate aroma. Dark, sweet fruits are combined with vanilla fudge and sweet heather honey. It is full-bodied and flavorful, with hints of marzipan, cinnamon, ginger, and sherry oak. It also has a rich, satisfying finish that lingers sweetly.

Reviews of the 15-year-old Glenfiddich whisky state that it has a warm, buttery appearance and appears younger in the glass than its actual age.

Additionally, reviews claim that the aroma of steamed apples and a mildly acidic, bitter smell initially overpower the nose. Then comes a very dark caramelised wood note and a lovely floral quality. The aroma of overnight French toast, made with dense pumpernickel bread soaked in brown sugar and butter and caramelising in perfect harmony, replaces the chewy toffee that first appears as the whisky opens up. The aroma of butter lingers throughout the tasting process.

The whisky has a distinct “umph” that is reflected in its dense, thick mouthfeel. The substantial, chewy texture of the whisky pairs perfectly with the butter and honey spread throughout the mouth. Finally, fig brings everything to a perfect conclusion.

Similar to the nose, the finish is buttery and delicate with a hint of bitterness. Salted caramel and mixed peppercorns highlight the finish’s sweet and salty flavour. Grassiness has a firm hold and is lingering as well as delicious.

Although this whisky is a little too delicate for cocktails, it makes an elegant and delicious Old Fashioned. There is no need for water or ice because this flavorful whisky tastes great on its own and any dilution would be negative overall. The best way to enjoy Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old is with just one glass and some downtime.
